  • How often should I professionally clean my carpets?

    We generally recommend having carpets professionally steam-cleaned every 6–12 months, especially if you have children, pets, or allergy sufferers at home. Regular professional cleaning prolongs your carpet’s lifespan, keeps allergens under control, and maintains a healthier home environment

  • Are your cleaning products safe for pets and children?

    Yes! At Carpet Medic, we prioritise your family’s safety. We use cleaning methods that are safe, non-toxic, and effective at removing stains and allergens, leaving your carpets fresh and your home safe for pets and children.

  • How long will it take my carpets to dry after cleaning?

    Typically, carpets cleaned with our powerful truck-mounted steam cleaning system dry within 4–6 hours, although drying times can vary based on weather conditions, airflow, and carpet thickness. We recommend good ventilation after cleaning to speed up drying.

  • Do I need to move my furniture before your team arrives?

    Our technician will move beds and couches side-to-side where it is safe and possible for one person to do so. To help us deliver the best results, we kindly ask that you clear the floors of smaller items such as furniture, baskets, pot plants, toys, and other loose objects before we arrive.

  • Can you treat carpet stains and odours from pets?

    Yes, we specialise in treating stains and removing pet odours, helping to restore your carpets to a clean and hygienic condition. Please note that results can vary depending on the age of the stain, whether it has soaked into the carpet backing or underlay, and if previous products or treatments have been used.

  • I’m moving out, when should I book in my carpet or pest exit clean?

    We recommend booking your carpet cleaning and/or pest control after everything has been moved out and the bond clean is completely finished. This ensures we are the last service on-site, so carpets stay clean and pest treatments remain undisturbed.

    If anyone re-enters the property and walks on the carpets or continues cleaning after our visit, it can resoil the floors or wipe away pest treatments, which can void your pest warranty and may result in needing to pay for a second service. This protects both you and Carpet Medic, and also helps ensure a smooth final inspection.
